We've had some interesting visitors in our backyard recently. Yesterday it was a Downy Woodpecker.
We have a House Finch who has taken a liking to our window mounted bird feeder. He's a little heavy for it, so frequent visits tend to cause it to pry loose from the window.
Apologies for the dirty window.
Jello sits in front of that feeder for hours at a time and just stares at it, waiting for birds to arrive. We refer to this as "Jello watching TV".
Jello has found this whole reno process has created for him new "lounging opportunities." We never cease to be amazed where we find him in the construction.
Poor Jello has been locked up every weekday for the entire 12+ weeks of the reno project up in our bedroom (otherwise, I suspect he would have been downstairs "helping"). During the heatwave, it was getting to be +35 and higher in our bedroom during the day. Where did he take to hanging out? In what has to be the hottest spot in the whole house: on top of a box on the highest most shelf of the bedroom closet, about 9 feet off the ground.
