A very large cement truck drove into my back yard this morning...

Large. Heavy.

...backed up to my hole...

Chute is out...

...and filled up my slab and footing in a single pour.

After the pour, it takes a few hours to let it set, plant rebar that will tie into the walls...

Lots of spikes

...and smooth the floor. The cribbing dudes should be back tomorrow to build the forms for the walls. That ought to be noisy, as they have to drill into the existing foundation walls to put in tie bars. If they get it done, the remainder of the pour will happen Friday -- likely using one of those gooseneck pumper trucks.
